Antimony Resources (CSE: ATMY) has reported high grade antimony assays from infill drilling at its Bald Hill project, including 27.3% antimony over 0.3 metres within a broader interval of 2.28% antimony over 9.12 metres.
The intercept came from hole BH-26-21 in the Main Zone. The company also released the first drill results from the Central Zone, a secondary target where trenching has exposed stibnite, the principal antimony ore mineral, over a strike length of 200 metres.
Highlight intercepts include:
- BH-26-21: 2.28% antimony and 0.93 g/t over 9.12 metres from a depth of 144.38 metres
- Including 27.3% antimony over 0.30 metres from a depth of 144.38 metres
- BH-26-19: 1.90% antimony over 5.20 metres from a depth of 159.80 metres
- BHC-26-01: 2.63% antimony over 2.20 metres from a depth of 118.80 metres
- Including 10.3% antimony over 0.40 metres from a depth of 120.60 metres
Gold ran alongside antimony through much of BH-26-21, reaching a high of 3.66 g/t near the base of the mineralized interval. At the Central Zone, hole BHC-26-01 intersected stibnite about 100 metres below surface. That confirms the mineralization mapped in trenches continues at depth.
Main Zone drilling has concentrated on closing gaps in the existing dataset rather than expanding the known footprint. The zone has been traced over more than 600 metres of strike and to a depth of at least 350 metres, and remains open in all directions. True widths are estimated at 70% to 80% of reported core lengths.
“The drilling has been focusing on in-filling gaps in the data by intersecting areas where there was little or no drill information to attempt to develop a more detailed picture of the deposit,” said President and CEO Jim Atkinson. “This new information has been incorporated into an updated Mineral Model which will be used to focus further drilling.”
Atkinson said the company was “very pleased” with the initial Central Zone assays. He added that the Central, South and Marcus zones could develop into additional areas of antimony mineralization across the wider Bald Hill property.
Antimony Resources last traded at $0.52 on the CSE.
