Silver47 Exploration (TSXV: AGA) has completed its summer drill program at the Red Mountain project in Alaska, where the first holes ever put into a target 43 kilometres west of the main deposit returned the season’s thickest sulphide intercepts.
Three rigs turned 4,136 metres across 14 holes, testing 5 priority volcanogenic massive sulphide targets under the drill program. Five of those holes went into that new zone, Second Chance, which sits well outside the existing Red Mountain resource footprint.
Hole SC26-003 at Second Chance cut 197 metres of continuous pyrite-sphalerite-galena mineralization from 48.8 metres to 245.7 metres core length, including 74 metres of semi-massive to massive sulphide intervals. Visual estimates within those intervals run as high as 70% pyrite, 25% sphalerite and 2% galena.
The other holes conducted at the zone encountered similar mineralization. Hole SC26-001 returned a 66.8 metre mineralized interval, SC26-002 hit an upper zone of 41.6 metres and a lower zone of 25.1 metres, and SC26-005 cut 96.0 metres of silicified quartzite carrying disseminated to massive sulphides. SC26-004 crossed a fault, with the target horizon mapped at surface on the far side of it.
So far the zone has been traced over roughly 200 metres of strike and 150 metres down dip in drilling, while surface mapping has followed the same horizon 3 kilometres along strike. It remains open in both directions.

Five infill and step-out holes went into Dry Creek, which hosts an inferred resource of 11.6 million tonnes grading 279.4 g/t silver equivalent, or 104.0 million silver equivalent ounces. DC26-118 intersected 50.6 metres of continuous sulphide mineralization, including about 34 metres of massive to semi-massive material and a 12.8 metre massive horizon of pyrite, sphalerite, galena and chalcopyrite. Single holes at Hunter, WTF East and FOMO also hit sulphides.
Assay results for the entire program remain outstanding,
“With drilling complete, we expect a steady flow of results as assays are received,” said chief executive Galen McNamara. “These results support our view that Red Mountain is an important silver and critical minerals project within the proposed combination with Bunker Hill.”
That combination is the backdrop to all of it. Silver47 agreed in August to merge with Bunker Hill Mining, with shareholders receiving 0.1724 Bunker Hill shares for each share of Silver47 held. Shareholder meetings are scheduled to be held no later than November 15.
Silver47 last traded at $0.77 on the TSX Venture.
