Q2 Metals Corp. (TSXV: QTWO) is reporting what it is calling its best drill hole to date at the Cisco lithium project in Quebec, with hole CS26-093 encountering three separate mineralized pegmatite intervals.
Highlights from the hole include:
- 60.8 metres at 1.24% Li₂O
- 213.8 metres at 1.93% Li₂O
- 403.7 metres at 1.57% Li₂O
The three intervals collectively account for roughly 678 metres of mineralized pegmatite within the 803-metre hole. Q2 said the designation of CS26-093 as its best hole to date is based on the total mineralized pegmatite encountered rather than the highest grade recorded at Cisco.
Approximately 170 metres of the 403.7-metre interval occurs outside the conceptual pit shell used for the April 2026 mineral resource estimate. The shallowest intercept began at an estimated vertical depth of approximately 14 metres near the CO20 outcrop zone.
The summer drill program has so far amounted to 22 holes totaling 9,552 metres, with four rigs currently operating within the main Cisco deposit area. Q2 said the program is primarily focused on converting portions of the existing inferred resource into the indicated category, while expansion and regional exploration drilling are also planned. More than 50,000 metres have now been drilled at Cisco overall.
The Cisco deposit currently contains an inferred mineral resource of approximately 295 million tonnes grading 1.36% Li₂O, consisting of 270 million tonnes of pit-constrained resources and another 24 million tonnes underground.
“Hole 93, with highlight intercepts of 213.8 metres at 1.98% Li₂O followed just 15 metres later by another 403 metres at 1.57% Li₂O, is the best hole drilled at Cisco to date,” commented Q2 Metals CEO Alicia Milne. The 1.98% figure in Milne’s quote conflicts with the company’s assay table and headline, which report the interval at 1.93% Li₂O.
Q2 said drilling will continue through the fall and into winter, while work is also underway on a preliminary economic assessment for Cisco.
Q2 Metals last traded at $2.75 on the TSX Venture.
