Kirkland Lake Discoveries Extends Mirado Gold System West With 2.13 g/t Over 29.0 Metres Hit

FULL DISCLOSURE: Canacom Group is long the equity of Kirkland Lake Discoveries.

Kirkland Lake Discoveries (TSXV: KLDC) has released a further round of assay results from its 2026 summer drill program, reporting broad near-surface gold intercepts and a high grade hit at depth that together extend mineralization at its Mirado project.

Highlight assay results include:

  • KLM26-029: 2.13 g/t gold over 29.0 metres from a depth of 173.0 metres,
    • Including 3.37 g/t gold over 17.5 metres
  • KLM26-031: 2.11 g/t gold over 14.1 metres from a depth of 157.0 metres
    • Including 2.74 g/t gold over 10.1 metres
  • KLM26-027: 4.76 g/t gold over 6.65 metres from a depth of 8.0 metres
  • KLM26-028: 3.89 g/t gold over 2.14 metres from a depth of 401.3 metres

The wide intercepts in holes 029 and 031 sit close to surface and push the mineralized system westward, with the system showing geometry that lends itself to bulk-tonnage thinking rather than narrow-vein economics. Hole 027, meanwhile, returned nearly 5 g/t gold starting just eight metres down. Hole 028 tested the North Zone at more than 400 metres and hit, confirming the system carries grade well below the levels drilled earlier this season.

“We continue to expand the Mirado system in multiple directions,” said chief executive Stefan Sklepowicz. “These results continue to push the system to the west with broad near-surface mineralization and high-grade deeper in the north. We eagerly await assays from the regional test holes that are well outside historic boundaries.”

That wait will not be short. Nineteen holes remain pending, including nine at Mirado, six at the MZ target roughly 500 metres to the west, and four testing regional targets outside the historic drilled footprint.

The results follow an earlier batch from the same campaign that included 20.29 g/t gold over 4.4 metres in hole KLM26-022 and a successful 80-metre step-out, alongside a separate 65-hole district-scale program at the company’s KL West property that mapped three distinct mineralizing systems across a 17-kilometre corridor.

Kirkland Lake Discoveries last traded at $0.34 on the TSX Venture.
